Gallipoli’s Historic Old City

Palazzo Salapolis is in the heart of the historic center of Gallipoli, the most charming part of the city, within walking distance of the city’s main historical and cultural attractions. Full service (payment required) beaches and beach clubs are about 3 km away. They can also be reached by bike or by the comfortable apecar taxis available near the bridge (about 100 meters from the property).

Some of Gallipoli’s beaches that are worthy of note are: Lido Baia Verde, Lido Punta della Suina, Lido San Giovanni and Lido Punta Pizzo. Kilometers of white beaches with crystal clear seas and shallow coastal waters convenient for all ages. There are both free and paid stretches of beach. You can rent sun loungers, umbrellas, and sports equipment at the equipped beach clubs.

For those who wish to sightsee areas within a few kilometers of Gallipoli, one can visit: Nardò (16 km), Galatina (16 km), Ugento with its marinas (about 20 km), Lecce with its amazing baroque architecture (40 km), Tricase (42 km) Santa Maria di Leuca (46 km), and Otranto (50 km).
